Choosing A Topic

This module covers topic selection and how to identify keywords to search your topic. You will find that once you have selected your topic or subject, you’ll need to know how to expand the language you use to search for relevant information. This module will help you work with words to increase the applicable vocabulary as you search, find, and learn more about your subject.

When you have completed this module you should be able to:

  • broaden or narrow a topic
  • identify keywords for a topic
  • use connectors and truncation in constructing a search
  • understand the difference between keyword and subject searching
