Faculty Toolkit on Information Literacy

As the Information Literacy Initiative progresses, a body of shared resources in a toolkit format is now available. It includes audio files, definitions of information literacy, ways to integrate it into the curriculum, ideas for assignment design, developmental perspectives on information literacy, and catalysts for further thought and action. Interested WVU faculty members may self-register following the instructions below to have a look at the contents of the Faculty Toolkit for Information Literacy.

  1. Go to https://ecampus.wvu.edu/ and click on the Learning Academy login.
  2. Click on the View Course List button on the login page.
  3. Navigate to the section: WVU Libraries -> Information Literacy Initiative -> Faculty Toolkit -> Information Literacy -> Individual_Topics
  4. Click on the Register icon under the Actions column
  5. Enter your Master ID username and password and click Register. To activate/check your Master ID, go to http://oit.wvu.edu/masterid/.
  6. You will now receive a confirmation message that you have successfully been registered in the course. From here you have a few options. You can click Return to Course List to browse for other courses to enroll in or you can click Go to My WVU eCampus which will log you in and display your course list. Clicking on Log In in the upper right will also take you back to the login page.
  7. Finally, click on the link for the Individual_Topics section in your Course List.
