Shakespeare Nursed by Tragedy and Comedy

Plate I
Shakespeare Nursed by Tragedy and Comedy Engraved from the Original Picture Painted by Geo. Romney Esq.
This print represents Tragedy and Comedy, intent on forming the mind of the infant Poet, between whom his attention seems nearly equally divided. The distance discovers one of the grander scenes of Nature, as most applicable to the sublimity of Shakespeare's genius.
