How do I make my work available with Open Access?

WVUScholar is the university's institutional repository: a library initiative designed to provide a central online location for faculty to share their scholarly output with the world.

  • What are the advantages of depositing my work in WVUScholar?
Your work is available to scholars and students worldwide, findable with Google and other search engines, and preserved and protected by the WVU Libraries. You can guarantee that your work will be available in a consistent location to be read and cited by scholars for years to come.
  • What kind of things can I deposit in WVUScholar?
WVUScholar is intended for all kinds of scholarly research materials and content including preprints, previously published material (if allowed by the journal author agreement), working papers, technical reports, conference presentations, data sets, as well as other scholarship not usually submitted for peer-reviewed publications.
  • How do I deposit my work to WVUScholar?
The library is in the process of building online upload tools for your content. In the meantime, please contact Molly Dolan, WVU's Digital Initiatives and Scholarly Communications Librarian.
