Computing pages include information about policies and logging in to library computers, locations of computers and laptops, accessing electronic library resources from off-campus, and a library computer FAQ.
The Libraries keep old print journals at a warehouse. Users who need to use the old journals may use this form to request that the journals be sent to the library for pick up. If you prefer, the Libraries will scan in articles from these journals and deliver them electronically.
When an instructor wants the entire class to see a document, they can place it on electronic reserve. Students can then login with a user ID and password (provided by the instructor), and read articles, book chapters, notes, old quizzes or tests, study notes, presentations, etc. If your instructor tells you something is on reserve in the vertical file or on closed reserve, that means it is in print and you need to go to the Access Services desk to get it (bring your Mountaineer card).
Faculty information includes research tools and assistance, facilities and equipment, contacts, teaching support, and instruction assistance.
If the WVU Libraries do not own the materials you want, you can order them free of charge through the Interlibrary Loan service. If you are a first time user, read the instructions and register.
