Services

Borrowing

This section includes everything you need to know about your library card, checking out books, how to access your account, loan periods and limits, and library fines.

Copying

Learn about copying and printing at the Libraries: costs, locations, and how to use printing cards and Mountie bounty.

Depository Journals

The Libraries keep old print journals at a warehouse. Users who need to use the old journals may use this form to request that the journals be sent to the library for pick up. If you prefer, the Libraries will scan in articles from these journals and deliver them electronically.

Disabilities

The Libraries have adaptive and assistive technology for users with disabilities. This page also provides information about library policies, physical access, software, and contacts.

Distance Education

The Libraries provide students attending WVU Morgantown via distance education classes access to library services that are of the same standards as library services provided to local students. Distant education students can find those services here.

Interlibrary Loan

If the WVU Libraries do not own the materials you want, you can order them free of charge through the Interlibrary Loan service. If you are a first time user, read the instructions and register.

Renew Books Online

You can login to your account in MountainLynx and renew your checked out books online. This page will tell you how.

eReserves & Reserves

When an instructor wants the entire class to see a document, they can place it on electronic reserve. Students can then login with a user ID and password (provided by the instructor), and read articles, book chapters, notes, old quizzes or tests, study notes, presentations, etc. If your instructor tells you something is on reserve in the vertical file or on closed reserve, that means it is in print and you need to go to the Access Services desk to get it (bring your Mountaineer card).

Popular Services

Computing

Computing pages include information about policies and logging in to library computers, locations of computers and laptops, accessing electronic library resources from off-campus, and a library computer FAQ.
