The Term Paper Clinic

Students – Feeling Overwhelmed by Term Papers?

Get Individual Help That Fits With Your Schedule at Term Paper Clinic!

Use the Appointment Form to Schedule a Time

Students can get individualized research assistance with their papers at the WVU Libraries Term Paper Clinic.  A librarian can help students think of paper topics, use databases, find sources, organize their research, and use citation systems like MLA or APA.

Students can request a time and library (Downtown or Evansdale) that fits with their schedules by filling out the brief request form at http://www.libraries.wvu.edu/instruction/tpcform.html.  Librarians are generally available 8:30AM – 4:00PM.

Please Keep in Mind
The Term Paper Clinic does not offer proofreading or help with writing difficulties. If a student has difficulties with writing, s/he should make an appointment with a tutor at the Center for Writing Excellence located in the Department of English; call 293 – 5788 or visit the Writing Center web site for more information.

Help with writing a thesis or a dissertation is beyond the scope of the Clinic.

Instructors cannot bring their classes to the Clinic. The Clinic is a needs-based tutoring service offering individual assistance. However, if you’d like for your class to get an introduction to a Library’s resources, you can schedule a library instruction session with a Reference Librarian. S/he will meet with your class in an electronic classroom and show them how to use the Libraries’ resources effectively. Call the appropriate Reference Desk phone number listed at the top left side of this page to schedule an appointment.

Please contact Kelly Diamond (kdiamond@wvu.edu), Alyssa Wright (Alyssa.wright@mail.wvu.edu), or Noel Kopriva (noel.kopriva@mail.wvu.edu) if you have any questions. You can also visit our Facebook fan page: WVU Libraries Term Paper Clinic.
