Facilities & Equipment
Public computers and laptops
The Libraries provide access to more than 230 public computers with Web access and productivity software. Additionally, the Downtown Campus and Evansdale Libraries each have wireless laptops that may be checked out for in-Library use. Computers are available to any member of the WVU community: faculty, staff, or student. To log on to a Library computer, faculty members use their WVU Master ID as the username and their birth date plus the last 4 digits of the WVU ID (700#) as a password. If you don’t know these, please ask at a Reference Desk for assistance or go to http://oit.wvu.edu/masterid/.
Wireless network
The Libraries are hotspots on the campus wireless network. Instructions for activating your laptops’ wireless account are available at:

If you need to check out one of the library's laptops, you will need to logon with your WVU Master ID.
Media viewing rooms
The Downtown Campus Library Media Services Department has viewing rooms that can be reserved for small group and class use. Small rooms accommodate 1-6 people and contain equipment for VHS/DVD formats plus a large plasma screen. The large group viewing room seats 56.

Small group study rooms
Each Library in the WVU Libraries system has a number of small group study rooms available. To reserve a room, contact the Circulation/Access Services desk.
Digital Senders
All the libraries have digital senders that enable users to scan articles and have them sent to an email address as a PDF file. There is no charge for this service. These libraries also have scanners with multiple output options that are available for public use.
Printing and Copying
Computer prints cost 6 cents per page and photocopies cost 7 cents per page. Both types of machines use Mountie-Bountie cards (ID or purchased) for payment. Machines to add value to your card are available in all three major libraries.
