Agriculture materials cover subject areas such as plant science, entomology, agronomy, animal and veterinary science, landscape architecture, forestry, wildlife management, parks and recreation, food and nutrition, and interior design.Many of these materials are located in the S call numbers.

Engineering and Computer Science materials cover chemical engineering, civil and environmental engineering, computer science and electrical engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical and aerospace engineering, mining engineering, and petroleum and natural gas engineering. Most of the engineering materials have T call numbers, while many of the computer science materials have QA 76 call numbers.

Government documents are located in several libraries at WVU. In general, Evansdale receives the government documents that support the subject areas housed in the library, especially those from the Department of Education, the Department of Energy (DOE), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Documents may be on the web, cd-rom, microfiche, cataloged, or uncataloged. Uncataloged documents are located in the documents collection on the second floor or in the microfiche collection on the first floor.

Leisure Reading books are located on the main floor near the couches.This collection contains mostly popular fiction.
Music books, journals and scores are located on the ground floor with call numbers M-MT. LPs are also on the ground floor in the compact shelving. CDs and listening equipment are located at the Circulation Desk on the 1st floor.

Physical Education books and journals generally are located in the GV call numbers, although some may have R call numbers and be found at the Health Sciences Library if related to human physiology.

Theatre books and journals are located in the PN-PS call numbers, and include some collections of plays.A script collection is located on the main floor.The theatre materials at Evansdale cover acting, production, set design, costumes and other aspects of technical theatre, while many of the actual plays and drama criticism are located at the Wise Library on the downtown campus.

Theses are located on the second level and are written by WVU graduates in the subject areas found at Evansdale Library. Beginning in 1998, WVU theses are available online at the Electronic Institutional Document Repository (EIDR) collection web site.
U.S. Patents are located on the main level of the library.As a Patent and Trademark Depository Library, Evansdale receives full-text copies of all utility, design, and plant patents, going back to 1972.Abstracts of patents issued prior to 1972 and dating back to 1873, are found on microfilm #172.
