WVU Libraries MediaSite Audio/Video Streaming

Description:

The University Libraries' MediaSite audio/video streaming facilities provide support for the delivery of live television broadcasts over the IP Network to locations on the WVU Morgantown campus where 'multi-casting' has been enabled. Specific programs may be scheduled by contacting Library Systems at 293-4040 X 4015. To find out if you can receive these broadcasts contact Network Services via the Help Desk at 293-4444 X 1.

MediaSite provides support for all of the Libraries' Video-On-Demand streaming services including unrestricted access to video series such as the Benedum Distinguished Scholar Lectures, Pi Lambda Phi Jewish Studies Lectureship Series, Art Video Lecture Series, and a wide range of campus events including the President's State of the University Addresses, OIT Leadership Training, and many others. The number of programs in this collection grows continuously.

Content:

Streaming Media via E-Reserves: Do you have a video or audio tape you want your entire class to be able to view or listen to? Library Systems will assist in the conversion of files in a variety of formats (DVDs, CDs, VHS tapes, audio tapes, etc.) for delivery over the internet via E-Reserves and MediaSite. Contact Media Services at (304) 293-4040 ext. 4077 to request this service.
