Lonna Dennis Arnett, Librarian, was quoted in the Daily Athenaeum of August 26, 1929, as stating that "Plans for the building are drawn so that it can be duplicated, if desired, and another building of 1,000,000 volume capacity can be erected adjacent. This will make one building separated from the other only by a small court though it may not be needed for years to come."
