| TRINCULO, one of the seamen who has escaped the wreck, is discovered by his companion, Stephano, asleep on the sea-shore, with Caliban, a monster of the island, lying by him. Stephano awakes and offers him his keg. Caliban eyes the liquor with delight, and, pleased with his new aquaintances, proffers them his services. |
