Prospero dismisses Ariel.
Prospero; Miranda and Ariel.
THE scene represents the entrance to Prospero's cave; the nature of whose studies are indicated by the celestial sphere, &c. seen in it. Miranda, the magician's beauteous daughter, reposes on a piece of rock.- Ariel, prospero's attendent spirit, receives his master's directions about the shipwreck, and exit. The effects of the Tempest appear in the sea and background.
