Located central to the downtown campus on University Avenue, the Downtown Campus Library is considered the main library of the system. The Library contains the main Reference Collection and houses the materials related to history, political science, public administration, foreign languages, journalism, psychology, biology, communication studies, business, economics, literature, geography, social work, sociology, chemistry, physics, geology, astronomy, and anthropology. Many of the system's special collections are also located at Library, including the Appalachian Collection, Africana Collection, and Government Documents.
