Item Status & Requests

After finding a needed item in MountainLynx, note the Location, Call Number, and Status.

The Location could be:

A call number will look like this:  BF313 .K34 2002

Be sure to note whether the item is in a special collection within the location.  For example, the Evansdale Library has the Children's Collection; the Downtown Library has the Appalachian Collection; the Health Sciences Library has a History Room Collection. Also, if an item has an "in Process" or an "On Order" status, it may not yet have a call number.

“Not Checked Out”

You can check out the item

“Checked out”

You can request E-ZBorrow, ILL, or Recall

“In Process”

You can request "In Process," E-ZBorrow, or ILL

“On Order” You can request E-ZBorrow, or ILL

“Checked out Indefinitely”

For books, you can request "Recall" for Depository retrieval

“Checked out Indefinitely”

For journals you can request "Callslip" for Depository retrieval

“Missing” or “Lost”

You can request E-ZBorrow, or ILL

Note: E-ZBorrow and ILLiad (Interlibrary Loan) items have separate request pages.

At the top of the MountainLynx page, choose “Request”

After selecting “Request”:
  • Type your WVU ID number and last name
  • Choose the appropriate request from the drop down menu and click OK
  • Re-enter your WVU ID number on the WebVoyage Request page
  • In the Comment box, type in your MIX or GroupWise email address
  • Select pickup location
  • Select “Submit”  at the bottom of the page to submit your request to the library
