Renewing Books Online
Renewals: Unless overdue, books may be renewed online or you can bring books to the circulation desk in person. There are no phone-in renewals.
Please note:
- Books may be renewed online on or before their due date
Online book renewal is done in the MountainLynx catalog:
- select Mountainlynx from the Libraries home page
- select "patron" from any MountainLynx screen
- type in your WVUID number and last name, select "OK"
- click in the the "Renew?" check box beside the item you want to renew
- select the "Renew Items" button
- to uncheck the "Renew?" check boxes, select the "Reset" button
- verify your renewals by consulting your Items Checked Out List
- in the far right column you will see your renewal status
- check each title on your list carefully
NOTE: books will not renew if they have been recalled by another library user or if you have an outstanding fine
Options for renewing books:
- Undergraduate students may renew materials online or in person.
- Graduate students may renew materials online, in person, or by mail.
- Faculty may renew books online, in person, or by mail at the end of each semester. Books must be physically returned for renewal at least once a year.
- In special circumstances, a Circulation Librarian may grant a Faculty Research Waiver so that mail renewals can be substituted for annual physical renewal of materials. Please contact the Circulation Librarian at the lending library for a research waiver application.
