Borrowing from the WVU Libraries
Use the menu at the left for more information about borrowing at the WVU Libraries.
Can't Find it on the Shelves?
If the book or journal you need is not checked out but is not on the shelf, stop by the Access Services desk for assistance. We will place a search on the item and notify you when it is located. If we do not own the materials you need, ask about our Interlibrary Loan or E-ZBorrow services at any public service desk.
Returning Library Materials
- Books may be returned to any of the WVU Libraries.
- Journals must be returned to the owning library.
Interlibrary Loan and E-ZBorrow Services
- Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services are extended to all WVU students, faculty, and staff. ILL and E-ZBorrow can borrow materials from other libraries for you.
- E-ZBorrow requests books from other academic libraries in the PALCI consortium and generally takes 3-5 days. ILL requests items from libraries all over the world and can take 3 days or more.
- You may place your ILL request online at http://illiad.lib.wvu.edu/ or http://www.libraries.wvu.edu/ezborrow/. You will need to register with ILLiad before ordering.
- ILL and E-ZBorrow requests are usually processed within 24 hours. Please include clear identifying information about the items you need when you send your request.
