Accessing Your Account Online
- Use your MountainLynx patron record to:
- Renew WVU Libraries and E-ZBorrow books online
- Verify your address
- Check your library record to see:
- items you have checked out
- status of any recalls or holds
- outstanding fines or fees
- To access your account:
- Bring up MountainLynx, select “Patron” at the top of the page
- Enter WVU ID and last name.
- If you have books out, you will see a list of them and their due dates.
- To renew your books:
- Put a check in the “Renew?” box beside any item you want to renew
- Click “Renew Items” at the bottom of the page
- Check to see that the selected items were renewed by looking in the status column on the right side of the page. (Books will not renew if they have been recalled by another user or if you have outstanding fines/fees.)
- Undergraduates may renew materials online or in-person
- Faculty and graduate students may renew materials online, in person or by mail.
- Books must be physically returned for renewal every August.
- Check the status of recalls/holds:
- Scroll down to “Request Information.” This shows any recall requests you have made. This list includes recalls, holds and Depository requests.
- If an item you requested appears in the Items Available section of the Request Information screen, it has been received at the pick-up location requested. It will remain on hold for at least five days.
