The Appalachian Outlook is an annotated research index to books, articles, dissertations, and documents covering life and culture in the mountainous thirteen-state Appalachian Region of the eastern U.S. (New York to Mississippi). Principle interest has been placed on the Social Sciences and Education.

The Appalachian Outlook is published tri-quarterly (February, June, and October) and supplements Robert F. Munn's bibliography The Southern Appalachians (WVU Library, 1961) and the 8000-entry Appalachian Bibliography (WVU Library, 1980).

To subscribe:

The annual subscription rate is $10.00 including mailing costs for institutions and individuals. Back issues are $4.00 apiece. Format is staple-bound and each issue averages 30 to 40 pages.
