Nominations will be accepted from WVU administration, faculty, and staff and must be submitted on the official nomination form by February 15.

First, mark your calendars. The Libraries will change their hours twice over the next two weeks.

When the new semester begins on January 14, the Downtown Campus and Evansdale libraries will stay open until midnight Monday through Thursday. On January 22, after the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday, the Downtown Campus and Evansdale libraries will begin staying open until 2 a.m. Sunday through Thursday.

As the semester moves on, remember:

• When you need a quiet place to study, visit the Library. Downtown, the Milano and Robinson reading rooms are deep quiet zones – talking and cell phones are prohibited. At the Evansdale Library, the upper and lower levels are designated quiet zones.
• If you need to work in a group, reserve a Study Room: www.libraries.wvu.edu/services/rooms/index.php
• Stuck on a project? Have a question about Library resources? There are multiple ways to connect with a librarian. If you’re on the Libraries’ website, click the green box in the upper right corner that reads “Ask a Librarian.” The web address for the chat option is www.libraries.wvu.edu/ask
• Or you could ask your question via text message to 304-220-0919.
• A handy tool is the Libraries’ mobile website. Use your smartphone to access library resources, chat with a librarian, find a book or journal, and locate an available computer. Check out the Libraries’ mobile website: m.lib.wvu.edu.
• Need to borrow a laptop? At the Downtown Campus Library, MacBooks and Dell laptops are available at the document center on the first floor. At the Evansdale Library, MacBooks and Dell laptops are available at the service desk on the first floor.
• Undergraduates now can check out books for an entire semester. E-ZBorrow loans are now six weeks. An E-ZBorrow book can be renewed once for another six weeks.
